Basically there are two types of player in online poker: Those who lose money and those who earn money.
The following questions should help you to clarify whether at poker you are a potential winner or not. If you can answer 'yes' to all the following 12 questions then you have the potential in the long run to belong to the winners in online poker!
1) Do you have a flair for numbers?
2) Are you interested in probabilities?
3) Are you in a position to carry out a few calculations in 10 seconds in your head?
4) Do you enjoy playing cards?
5) Do you enjoy playing strategy games?
6) Do you like making decisions, also under pressure when time is short?
7) Are you able to recognise recurring patterns of behaviour in your opponents? The question could read also: Are you someone who has a 'feel' for other people?
8) Are you a good loser, but also a good winner? This means: Defeats do not throw you into a depression neither do victories lead you to believe that you are invincible!
9) Are you prepared to invest a lot of time in poker, not only in playing but also in reading theory books? Poker is to a large part a game of experience! Consider also that your family must show understanding for the time invested.
10) Are you the type that after a series of defeats or bad luck can say without any problems, 'Today was not my day, it is better to stop now and I will try again tomorrow!'?

12) Do you feel comfortable using a computer and the Internet?
If you should have answered one or the other question with a 'No' or a hesitant 'Yes', you can nevertheless have a lot of fun in online poker, but do not expect, however, in the long run to make a profit!
